I recently got into speed cubing and I’ve just signed up for my first tournament. So I decided to make a bag to carry my growing cube collection 🙂
This pattern uses a 3.5 mm hook and white, green, red, yellow, blue, orange and black 8 ply wool. It is written in American crochet notation.
Basically we need to crochet a cross (which is what a cube looks like if you unfold it). As always, I start with the white face.
With black wool

Handle
Chain 10, slip stitch to form a ring
Rounds 1 – 25: sc in each stitch (10 stitches) (25 rounds)
Fasten off, leaving the tail long for sewing.
Sew the edges of the cube together (don’t sew the lid shut).
Sew on the handle. Sew on the zip.
The completed bag is easily big enough to carry a 3×3 cube and a 2×2 cube together. Happy solving 🙂
