This is an ornament for decorating your rear-vision mirror, or maybe one of the passenger roof handle thingies. You could also just make one skate and use it as a keyring 🙂 This pattern is written in American crochet notion. Each skate is about 7 cm tall.
Boot (make two)
With a 3.5 mm hook and 8 ply wool
Round 1: chain 10, sc 8 stitches along one side, increase in the last stitch, sc 7 along the other side of the chain, increase in the last stitch (19 stitches)
Round 2: increase in the first stitch, sc in the next 7 stitches, increase in the next two stitches, sc in the next 8 stitches, increase in the last stitch (23 stitches)
Round 3: sc in the first stitch, increase in the next stitch, sc in the next 8 stitches, increase in the next stitch, sc in the next stitch, increase in the next stitch, sc in the next 9 stitches, increase in the last stitch (27 stitches)
Round 4: sc in each stitch (backloops only) (27 stitches)
Rounds 5 – 7: sc in each stitch (27 stitches)
Round 8: (decrease two stitches together) x 3, sc in the next 15 stitches, (decrease two stitches together) x 3 (21 stitches)
Round 9: (decrease two stitches together) x 3, sc in the next 9 stitches, (decrease two stitches together) x 3 (15 stitches)
Round 10: (decrease two stitches together) x 2, sc in the next 7 stitches, (decrease two stitches together) x 2 (11 stitches)

Sew the hole closed
Wheels (make 4 for each skate)
With 4 ply wool and a 2 mm hook
Round 1: 6sc in a magic ring (6 stitches)
Round 2: increase in every stitch (12 stitches)
Round 3: sc in each stitch (backloops only) (12 stitches)
Round 4: sc in each stitch (12 stitches)
Round 5: decrease around (backloops only) (6 stitches)

Round 6: decrease until the hole closes.
Sew the hole closed.
Assembly
Sew the wheels onto the skates. Embroider the laces. To attach the skates to each other hold three strands of wool together and attach them to the back of one of the skates. Chain 20 and attach the wool to the back of the other skate. Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
