I found out that female cats are call queens, so of course I had to make my cat a crown.
This pattern uses a 2 mm hook and 4 ply wool. The pattern is written in American crochet notation.
You can use tapestry crochet to decorate the crown with rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Or you could just make it pure gold if you prefer.
First we need to make six points.
Chain 8 (one is a turning chain)
Row 1: sc 7
Row 2: decease the first two stitches together, sc 3, decrease the last two stitches together (5 stitches)
Row 3: decease the first two stitches together, sc 1, decrease the last two stitches together (3 stitches)
Row 4: decrease the last three stitches together, fasten off, weave in ends.
Now we join the points together.
Round 1: sc the six points together (42 stitches)
Round 2: sc in each stitch (42 stitches)
Round 3: sc in each stitch (42 stitches) (3 yellow, 2 green, 5 yellow, 2 red, 5 yellow, 2 blue, 5 yellow, 2 green, 5 yellow, 2 red, 5 yellow, 2 blue, 2 yellow)
Round 4: sc in each stitch (42 stitches) (3 yellow, 2 green, 5 yellow, 2 red, 5 yellow, 2 blue, 5 yellow, 2 green, 5 yellow, 2 red, 5 yellow, 2 blue, 2 yellow)
Round 5: sc in each stitch (42 stitches) (all yellow)
Round 6: hdc in each stitch (42 stitches)
Fasten off, weave in ends.
